New Orleans Rotary Fund, Inc.
The New Orleans Rotary Fund, Inc., established in 1970, is funded by fundraising activities of the New Orleans Rotary Club. Once a year, NORFI, as it is known within the club, makes grants to area nonprofit organizations for youth empowerment programs.
NORFI makes grants to support operating funds, college scholarship, program funds, capital needs, Grants are awarded in the range of $10,000 to a maximum of $25,000.
Applications are accepted from August 15th to September 30th each year. Award letters are usually sent out before the end of the calendar year. Grant recipients are asked to come to one of the Rotary club’s weekly meetings to receive their grant check and tell Rotarians about their organization.
Over the years, NORFI has supported a broad spectrum of local nonprofits, including the International School of Louisiana, Liberty’s Kitchen, Kingsley House, Lighthouse for the Blind, Girl Scouts, Boy Scouts, WYES, and Junior Achievement.
